Il Bambino stands as an esteemed manufacturer of fine wood products, specializing in the craftsmanship of olive wood items meticulously created in Bethlehem by the Giacaman Family. Leading the way is Ibrahim Giacaman, a master wood carver renowned for shaping olive wood into unique Nativity figurines and Christmas tree ornaments.

Ibrahim, a fourth-generation Christian wood carver, is at the helm of the largest olive wood factory in Palestine, alongside his brothers. All their carvings are crafted using olive branches pruned from existing olive groves, ensuring sustainability and environmental responsibility. The branches undergo a thorough drying process lasting a year or more before reaching readiness for use. The family takes great care in the selection, drying, and carving processes, aiming to highlight the distinct grains of each piece. Embracing the natural allure of small cracks, imperfections, and grain variations, these elements become integral to the charm of their creations.

Ibrahim’s journey into wood carving began under the guidance of his father, Salem and grandfather, Elias. He further honed his skills by studying art and sculpture in Bethlehem and later at the Academy of Fine Art in Florence, Italy. At the family business in Palestine, where his father, three brothers, and two sons are also actively involved, Giacaman personally conceives all designs and meticulously completes the finishing and polishing of each piece.
